No Human Without Pain

No human without pain

Pain is a general term used to describe uncomfortable sensations in the body system. This is a general phenomenon everyone experiences at one time or another. It is strange for someone to say that he has not experienced bodily pain in his life.

Pain is not only restricted to bodily harm, it also traverses to other spheres of human life. I believe that the same assertion that is true for bodily pain is also the same for other spheres of life, every human at one time or the other has experienced pain.

Pain is an unsavory experience that everyone wants to avoid, but the truth is that life is full of pains. Different kinds of pains. People want to avoid it, by all means possible, yet life still throws back reality at them.

Pain is part and parcel of our existence as humans, it is almost impossible to separate it from our existence.

Stories of human experience of pain abound and apart from the ones we feel like the death of loved ones, loss of money, there are so many other stories that portray pain, .Some people go to bed hungry every day, some people have been refugees in a foreign land for more than 10 years, others are victims of political victimization, police brutalization, slavery, inhumane treatment, you also have victims of natural disasters i.e flooding, earthquake e.t.c

We yearn for a painless life free life, but have we ever pondered on what a painless life will look like?? If we don’t experience pain, we won’t know what it means to heal. Humanity loses its essence in the absence of pain.  If we don’t experience it how can we provide succor to another person passing through the same ordeal we went through. How are we going to know what it means to survive without feeling pain?

The whole essence of our humanity is to help others alleviate their pain. Some people feel or have more pain than others. We owe it as a job to humanity to do more for them.

Feed the hungry, provide shelter for the homeless, care about them, make them feel better. This is not a tall order as it may appear, bbut we risk losing the essence of life if we don’t pay attention to the pain of the people we are better than because we feel we don’t have enough.

Be the peace you seek.

Show the care you desire.

Demonstrate the love you cherish.

Pain is an existential part of human existence, our yearning and heart desire should be to strive and work towards making the world less painful for the people we are better than.
