The advent of covid has changed the landscape of everything around us. People all over the world shared the same sorrow, the same hope, and the same expectation. The pandemic shook the entire foundation of the world.
Billions of people were asked to stay indoors for months. There were few interactions and most people couldn’t visit loved ones. It was the same story all over the world. At a time it looked like humanity was carving in. Lockdown and several restrictions were implemented to stop the spread of the virus. These measures were against the law of human interactions. Families had their loved ones stranded in other countries. It was one of the most disruptive and chaotic times in recent history.
The pandemic has reminded us of how interdependent we are as humans. What affects my neighbor affects me in equal measure. The current happenings around the world point to the fact that we need to work towards being good humans – being helpful to the needy at all times and in every place; understanding people’s problems and being considerate about them. This era reminds us of the need to think less about ourselves. The humane side needs to come to the fur now more than ever.
The pandemic has shown us that life is not all about us, it encompasses your surroundings, our neighborhood. If we came into the world to live on our own, we are missing the point – even animals interact.
You don’t need to be the richest in your locality to participate in humanitarian activities: engage in community service, pay your domestic help, give alms to the poor, donate to charity, visit motherless babies, pay hospital bills for indigent people, relieve people of their stress, visit prisons, help the disabled, genuinely show kindness, and play your own path in building a better society.

Humanity needs us in these dire times. There is strength in unity. Humanity needs that strength in unity now to overcome the challenges facing it. Think about what you can do for others in these times. Think of the role you can play to lift humanity. You will surely have answers to these questions.
Our purpose here on earth is fulfilled the moment we understand the importance of being human in our day-to-day lives.

Together we achieve more.

Humanity is in need of a lift.

Together, we can take on this enormous task.
